Intro:

      Guitar 1: F# --------- B ----------
      Guitar 2: (F# / C#) -- (Bmaj7 / B6) (at frets indicated)

Verse: (tabs for guitar 1. guitar 2 over 1 as indicated)

F# ---------------------------
Born on a junk heap in the sea

---------------------------------
cursed with the notion to be free

--------------------------- B -
white and bright and twenty one

------------------------------
But in my heart I'm on the run

--------------------------- F -
I kissed the lips of eau de vie

-------------------------
I tasted sugar and debris

------------------------ B ---
but in the early morning light

------------------------- D#m -- Bb7 ->(gtr.2:D#m/D#7/4 - Bb/Bb7)
I saw the day destroy the night

Ab7 (let ring) ---- C#7/6 (let ring)
Life is a long walk home

Chorus: (guitar 2 same as 1 but letting the chord ring)

---------- F# ------
Was it the moonlight

------------- F#5(+)
That left you gasping

---- B -------- B6 ----------- C#7 -- Bdim(1)
Gras-ping, some-thing beyond a boy or girl

--------------- F# -
Just let it all blow

---------- F#5+ -------
Untie your heartstrings

B ------ B6 -------------- C#7 --- Bdim(1)  ->(gtr.2:Bdim(1)(2)(3))
No don't cling to this phe-nomenal world

Verse 2:

F# ---------------------------
I lost my senses in the spring

------------------------------------
Of someone's life that I left behind

--------------------------------- B ---
And though I search through every-thing

-----------------------------
A sense of loss is all I find

------------------------- F -
Her face is every work of art

--------------------------------
She haunts the city high and low

--------------------------- B ---
But I can't live inside her heart

---------------------- D#m -- Bb7 ->(gtr.2:D#m/D#7/4 - Bb/Bb7)
And so I had to let it go

Ab7 (let ring) ----- C#7/6 (let ring)
And make my heart my home

Chorus
